18-Year-Old Female Sparks Interest with Fintech App Design at TotalEnergies Exhibition

An 18-year-old female trainee of TotalEnergies, Nkiruka Amadi has caused a stir and sparked curiosity in participants in application design and technology at an exhibition in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Amadi, who hails from Rumuji Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State and a beneficiary of the TotalEnergies Community Skills Acquisition programme, trained in enhanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) option.

Her key areas of focus were on User Experience (UI) and User Interface (UX) Designs.

The exhibition, which held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at The Autograph in Port Harcourt, is part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of TotalEnergies to their host communities.

Nkiru did her presentation amongst other trainees on financial technology app designed to solve payment infrastructure issues which sparked the interest of many including the Executive Director of Total Energies; Obi Imemba, probing her more during the session.

Other trainees from various communities across Rivers State also made presentations in their areas of specialization in various skills such as fashion designing, cinematography, content marketing, Data Analysis, etc.

Nkiruka Amadi, who has been undergoing her training at Spital Labs for about a year now, expressed her gratitude towards TotalEnergies for giving her such opportunity to become useful to herself and the society.

“I am truly grateful to Total, this training has afforded me the opportunity to a lot of things, I ordinarily won’t know, I will say I’m much valuable to myself and the society now.

“I’m looking forward to learning coding so I can code my app and take it to the market, I’m super excited.”
