100 Days: Bonny LG Chairman Presents Scorecard To Traditional Institution, Seeks Blessings For Administration

In demonstration of his administration’s disposition to accountability and transparency, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Abinye Pepple has presented the performance scorecard ahead of his first 100 days in office to the Bonny Kingdom Traditional Institution.  

Pepple, who made this presentation on Saturday, November 1, 2025 during a courtesy visit to the Bonny Chiefs Council (BCC) at the King Perekule Palace, Bonny, Rivers State, equally used the occasion to seek the blessings of the respected Chiefs.

Addressing the Bonny Chiefs Council, Pepple described them as “a pillar of strength and blessing to his administration”, emphasizing that their endorsement remains invaluable.

“The blessings of this revered Chiefs Council are the greatest we can receive as a government. We are deeply grateful to be here today to identify with my fathers and seek their continued support.”

He enumerated ongoing projects by his administration including the Bonny Marriage Registry, construction of Staff Canteen for the LG Secretariat, renovation of the Bonny Fire Station, and NUBS Secretariat, as well as interlocking works at Ngbolobie and Allison Square.

He also announced plans for a Town Hall Meeting on November 15, 2025, ahead of the temporary opening of the Bodo–Bonny Road by the Federal Government.

In his response, the Chairman of the Bonny Chiefs Council, Se-Alabo Amb. Col. (Rtd) Dagogo Soala Claude-Wilcox, MON, KSC, commended the Chairman and his team for the visit, describing the visit as “a renewal of synergy between the Chiefs Council and the Local Government administration”.

In the Chairman’s entourage were his Vice; Ibinyefagha Alabere, the Leader, Kingsley Jumbo, and other members of the Bonny Legislative Assembly, Secretary to the Bonny Local Government; Tamunotonye Jumbo, the LG Chairman’s Chief of Staff, Soparagha Jumbo; Chief Security Officer, Prince Christy-Wilcox; and Special Adviser on Marine and Blue Economy, Ibifubara Willie-Pepple, among other officials.
