Development Only Thrives in Peaceful Environment – LG Secretary Says, Assures Ogbobiri Asawo of Support

For development to thrive, there is the need for peaceful co-existence and atmosphere of calm, Secretary to the Bonny Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo has said.

Jumbo said this on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 while playing host to the leadership of the Jumbo Major House (JMH) Ogbobiri Asawo who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Bonny, Rivers State.

He congratulated the newly elected executive of JMH Ogbobiri Asawo, assuring of his readiness to partner with them to move the House forward, reiterating the need for growth in love and oneness.

Earlier, the Chairman of the JMH Ogbobiri Asawo, Eric Jumbo used the occasion to congratulate the Bonny Local Government Secretary on his well-deserved appointment.

He stated that the JMH Ogbobiri Asawo deemed it necessary to pay him a courtesy with a view to close ranks for the purpose of peace, unity and to synergies for the progress of the Jumbo Major House.
