Lawmaker Throws Weight Behind Arugbana-Ama Praise Night, Arugbana-Ama London party

The member representing Bonny State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo has endorsed the Arugbana-Ama Praise Night and Arugbana London Party holding his Yuletide season.

The Arugbana-Ama Praise Night holds on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 while Arugbana-Ama London Party holds on Saturday, January 3, 2025, both in Arugbana-Ama Community.

Oko-Jumbo gave his endorsement of the events on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, when he played host to a delegation of the Arugbana-Ama Youth Association (AYA) led by its Leader, Abalafagha Jumbo, paid him a courtesy call in Bonny, Rivers State.

Incidentally, Arugbana-Ama Community is home to Oko-Jumbo, who was Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, in the days preceding the State of Emergency declared in the State by President Bola Tinubu.

The revered lawmaker was briefed on the two events by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Queeneth Jumbo, while the AYA Leader also briefed him on issues affecting the youths of the Community.

The Youth Leader highlighted the need to assuage security concerns, as well as strengthen security ahead of the festive period in the area.

Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo applauded the efforts of the Abalafagha Jumbo led executive, extolling their foresight in organizing the two events to promote the community and foster harmony.

He pledged his maximum support to the activities presented before him, noting that both events have the potential to help boost the strength and unity of the community and the LGA at large.
