Osas Ighodaro and Uzor Arukwe Lead Nollywood’s Christmas Blockbuster Colours of Fire

Nollywood’s holiday season is about to sparkle brighter as acclaimed director Niyi Akinmolayan prepares to release his latest feature film, Colours of Fire, a visually captivating period drama set to hit cinemas on December 24, 2025.

Produced by FilmOne Studios in collaboration with Anthill Studios, and distributed exclusively by FilmOne Entertainment, Colours of Fire has already become one of the most anticipated Christmas releases in Nigeria. 

The film promises an emotional and cultural experience, mixing love, sacrifice, and human resilience in a story that mirrors the colours and chaos of the festive season.

Starring award-winning actress Osas Ighodaro and Nollywood favorite Uzor Arukwe, the film features a stellar lineup that also includes Mercy Aigbe, Gabriel Afolayan, Femi Branch, and Ibrahim Chatta.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the film, director Niyi Akinmolayan described Colours of Fire as a love letter to Nigerian identity and creativity.

“I wanted to create a film that felt like home but looked like the world,  a story that captures our essence: bold, colourful, and unapologetically Nigerian,”

Akinmolayan said.

The project also marks another milestone for FilmOne Studios, known for championing high-quality, commercially successful Nigerian productions.

The first look and teaser released online have sparked excitement, with audiences praising the chemistry between Ighodaro and Arukwe and the film’s striking cinematography.
