He appealed for patience and understanding from members of the public, promising to minimize disruptions to daily life in Bonny Kingdom.

Idoniboye asserted that the project has officially commenced with the unveiling complete, explaining that the initial phase involves relocating utility infrastructure along the designated right of way, saying that would be undertaken by the Bonny Utility Company (BUC).

This landmark initiative, which is expected to span 18 to 24 months, is part of NLNG’s corporate social responsibility tied to its Train 7 project, and aims to transform the Bonny Main Road from SPDC (now Renaissance) Gate to Coal Beach, with an additional spur extending from Amaomu Junction to King Perekule Palace.

The upgraded road will expand from its current width of six meters to ten meters and will feature drainage systems on both sides, which will also serve as pedestrian walkways —enhancing accessibility and safety for residents.
