Tiwa Savage: Cheating Is Not a Dealbreaker for Me

Popular Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she has never ended a relationship because of cheating, stating that infidelity is not a dealbreaker for her.

Speaking on the Receipts Podcast on Spotify, the African Bad Gyal disclosed that every man she has dated has cheated on her, but she always chose forgiveness over walking away.

“I’ve been cheated on before.”

“I found out and forgave every time,” she said.

“Every man I’ve ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it.”

“I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated.”

” Cheating is not my hill.”

Tiwa, however, highlighted that while she can tolerate cheating, the accompanying dishonesty and disrespect often hurt more.

“What hurts is the lies about it though,” she explained.

“Maybe other people had known and then I kind of felt stupid about it, or they’ve known for a long time or if it’s close to home.”

“The disrespect of it is why I could leave, but the actual act of it? I’ve never left a man cause of it.”

The singer added that she has ended relationships for other reasons, including drug abuse, emotional abuse, financial issues, and ghosting.

Reflecting on the prevalence of infidelity, Tiwa argued that cheating is a historical pattern that has existed for generations.

“I know you say it’s bad that we’ve gotten to a point where cheating isn’t a deal-breaker.”

“But I feel like we’ve always been here even back in the day, even going back to the Bible and history,” she said.

Tiwa’s candid revelations have sparked conversations about forgiveness and boundaries in relationships.
