In his bid to showcase purposeful leadership and responsive governance, the Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Aboiya Bob-Fubara has commissioned several infrastructure projects to mark his first 100 days in office.

Speaking during the event on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku-Toru LGA, Bob-Fubara pledged continued community-driven development, describing the milestone as evidence of purposeful leadership and responsive governance.

The Chairman credited the success of his administration to key stakeholders like a member of the State House of Assembly, Major Jack, Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, and Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

“I remain committed to sustaining and expanding people-oriented projects across our communities.” 

He also assured residents that commissioned projects would be properly maintained with accountability and value for public finds.

He also reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that effective grassroots governance is key to national development.

Other projects commissioned included the reconstructed and remodelled Akuku-Toru multi-purpose hall, interlocked Local Government Council Secretariat premises and refurbished buildings.

He stated that they provide a conducive environment for workers.

The event was graced by Amanyanabo of Abonnema, King Disrael Gbobo Bob-Manuel, chiefs, lawmakers and leaders of APC and PDP in the area.
