The 38 captives, who were kidnapped on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, Eruku Community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, have been released.

This news of the release came on the evening of Sunday, November 23 2025, after church service.

This was after a rigorous search for the captives by security operatives in all parts of the state and beyond.

Speaking to Kristina Reports in Eruku Community, Kwara State, anonymously, a husband and father to one of the captives, confirmed the release of his wife and his two children.

“I am very happy at this moment to hear that my wife and others have been released. I have spoken to her and she is alright.”

“My children are also alright. We are expecting them tomorrow,” he said joyfully.

The released captives are currently in Ilorin, the State capital where they are undergoing a medical check and psychological examination under the supervision of the State Government and debriefing by security operatives.
