Two children abducted from Abalamabie Road in Bonny, Rivers State have been released and reunited with their parents, the Nigeria Police Force in Bonny Rivers State has confirmed.
This development earlier became public knowledge via a video that has gone viral on Meta (formerly Facebook) on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
In the said video, their father, Warisenibo Jeremiah Jim-Halliday is seen receiving both kids with a hug as they alighted from a white Toyota Hilus van along the Bodo-Bonny Road.
Though it was not clear the date and time when this happened, checks by Kristina Reports indicate it might have been on the morning of Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to speak on the matter, confirmed the release of the kids to Kristina Reports on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
So far, the family has declined any comments on the incident involving the abduction and release of the children, appealing to the public to respect their resort to privacy on the matter.
It was yet unclear the circumstances of the release of the children as Kristina Reports was unable to ascertain any ransom was paid before their release.
