Nigeria’s representatives in the 2024 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, Edo Queens got off to a blistering start in their campaign, demolishing AS Garde of Niger by a whopping 5-0 on Sunday, August 12, 2024, in Abidjan, and will now look to their next fixture against Hasaacas Ladies.

The Benin-based side who are making their debut in the event, in its fourth edition, have been grouped with Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana), Omnisports Etincelle (Burkina Faso), and AS Garde Nationale (Niger Republic) in Group B.

The top two teams in the group will advance to the semi-finals to decide the two teams that will contest for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.

Coach Moses Aduku’s ladies would look to continue in their fine start when they confront 2021 Champions League winners, Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, and ultimately emulate fellow Nigerian side, Bayelsa Queens the 2022 WAFU B Champions in victory.

With the win against AS Garde, Edo Queens currently top Group B with three points and a win in their second game would mean that they would advance to the semifinals.
