Citizens Opt For Kerosene As Cooking Gas Skyrockets

Some concern citizens have opt for kerosene usage as the price of cooking has is rising with speed.

Kristina Reports learnt on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from Eddy Itodo, an Enugu indigene but based in Okrika said since the lock down, he has stopped using gas.

Eddy who’s a teacher said the situation is really deplorable and that was why he opt for gas.

“I’ve been using kerosene since the lock down and considering the price of cooking gas now, it’s really high. I won’t say the kerosene is economical too because it’s still petrol we’re talking about.”

In another Chat with Kristina Reports, Akujobi Gift said the situation is really challenging as he is a user of gas.

“It’s very unaffordable and and it calls for concern. People are really tired. I for one I’m very tired. I’m buying gas for 1500.

Kristina Reports also learnt from another Indigene who didn’t want his name mentioned that the speed at which the gas gets exhausted is another call for concern.

“Because I no understand why gas wey I feel last week go finish this week. 5kg Gas no dey do again for at least 3weeks. Infact the man I go buy am from say make we dey look say e go still increase.
