NDORO OBORO, IKWUANO LGA, ABIA STATE — Women have been challenged to move beyond professing their faith to deliberately using their positions, professions and influence to create positive change in their families, workplaces and communities.
The charge formed the central message of the 2026 Women Conference of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Ikwuano Region, held on Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, 2026, at Ndoro Oboro, Oru Oboro Autonomous Community, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.

Ndoro is located in the Oboro clan of Ikwuano, along the Umuahia–Ikot Ekpene Road.
The two-day conference, with the theme, “Godly Builders with Positive Impact”, brought together women from different professional backgrounds and Christian denominations.
The conference had spiritual sessions, professional discourse and a practical workshop focused particularly on issues confronting young people.
Speaking with Kristina Reports after the conference, the Region Women Coordinator, Nnenna Ochulo, said the programme was designed to equip women with the understanding and practical commitment needed to translate their Christian values into positive influence wherever they operate.

“The essence of being believers is to allow our light to shine in our different environments, to brighten the corner where we are,” Ochulo said.
She explained that the conference deliberately brought together professionals including lecturers, teachers, legal practitioners, medical personnel, businesswomen, engineers and others to examine how their different occupations could become platforms for positive influence.
According to her, the message was that Christian faith should not be separated from professional responsibility.
She cited medical practitioners as an example, saying their responsibility goes beyond treating physical conditions to showing compassion and, where appropriate, offering encouragement, prayer and spiritual support to patients.
Mrs. Ochulo also highlighted the responsibility of teachers and other professionals who interact with young people, particularly in the face of delinquency, depression, negative peer influence and other social challenges.
She said the women were encouraged to become mentors and positive role models who could identify vulnerable young people, help them discover purpose and guide them towards responsible living and a relationship with Christ.
Beyond the professional sessions, she said the conference sought to strengthen women for their responsibilities as builders of families, influencers in the workplace and agents of positive change in their communities.
Mrs. Ochulo noted that the programme was intentionally opened beyond Deeper Life Bible Church, with invitations extended to women in offices, markets and other parts of the community, including members of other denominations.
She described the participation as encouraging, while acknowledging that the organisers had hoped for a larger turnout.
The coordinator expressed appreciation to all the women who participated and urged them to ensure that the lessons of the conference translated into action after returning home.
The ultimate expectation, she said, was for every participant to leave not merely inspired by the conference, but equipped to shine her light, build godly relationships, strengthen her family, positively influence her workplace and contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of society.
