Diamond Jubilee Celebration: Bonny Women Honour King Edward on Birthday, Hails Him as Royal Icon

The Woman Leader of Bonny Kingdom, Amaoporubo Helen Jack-Wilson Pepple has joined in celebrating the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Grand Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP Edward I, Perekule XI on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary.

In a heartfelt tribute, Amaopuorubo Jack-Wilson Pepple, speaking on behalf of the Bonny Women Forum (BWF), described the monarch as “a father to all, a peaceful ruler, and a man of great honour whose wisdom has kept Bonny united and respected among kingdoms.”

She noted that the king’s reign has brought immense blessings to the people, especially the women, who continue to benefit from his dedication to peace, development, and the preservation of cultural pride.

“Your Majesty, you are more than a king to us, you are our guiding light, our pride, and our hope for a better tomorrow”.

The Bonny Women Forum commended King Edward for his tireless efforts in fostering unity, attracting developmental projects, and upholding the rich heritage of the Grand Bonny Kingdom.

“We thank God for your life and pray that He will continue to keep you strong and healthy, your leadership has shown us the true essence of royalty, grace, wisdom, and selfless service.”

The Bonny Kingdom Woman Leader also highlighted the king’s unwavering support for women’s empowerment, noting that under his reign, Bonny women have gained a stronger voice and greater participation in leadership and development.

“You have made the women of Bonny proud. You have given us space to lead and contribute meaningfully to your vision for the kingdom”.

She concluded with prayers and songs of praise, as the Bonny Women Forum declared their continued loyalty and admiration for the monarch.

“Long live the king! Long live our Amanyanabo! May your reign continue to bring peace, joy, and progress to Bonny Kingdom,” she declared.
