Eniola Bolaji, Four Others Storm Spain for International Para-Badminton Championships

2024 Paralympics bronze medallist Eniola Bolaji and four other Nigerian para-badminton players are set to compete at the 2025 Spanish Level 2 International Para-Badminton Championships taking place at the Aranalde Sports Complex in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, on Tuesday (today), March 4 to 9, 2025.
The team of five which comprises: Eniola Mariam Bolaji (Women’s SL3 – Singles), Okoro Chinyere Lucky (Women’s SL4 – Singles), Chukwuemeka Ijeoma Gift (Women’s SL4 – Singles), Eze Chukwuebuka Sunday (Men’s SL3 – Singles), and Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah (Men’s SL4 – Singles), will be looking to come out tops and garner valuable experience as they compete against tough international opponents.

Three of the five players will also participate in the Spanish International Level 1 Para Badminton Championship in Toledo, Madrid, which comes just three days after the first event, from March 12 to 16, 2025. The three players include Eniola Mariam Bolaji, Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah (Singles & Doubles), and Eze Chukwuebuka Sunday (Singles & Doubles).


Adding to their individual events, Jeremiah and Eze will join forces in the Men’s SL3-SL4 Doubles category.
In 2024, Eniola Bolaji was crowned champion of the Women’s SL3 at the Spanish Para-Badminton International Championship after defeating Oksana Kozyna 2-0 (21-13, 21-8) in the Women’s SL3 Final.
This prestigious tournament will see participation from some of the world’s best para-badminton athletes, serving as a crucial platform for Eniola and her contingents as they continue their stellar journey on the international stage.
