Former LG Chairman, Anengi Claude-Wilcox, Backs Guinness World Record Bid, Pledges Support for Paint-A-Thon Star

The immediate-past Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anengi Claude-Wilcox has thrown her weight behind Holiveah Lawson, a young Bonny artist aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon.
Dame Claude-Wilcox led a delegation on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 to the Consulate Complex in Bonny, where Lawson is undertaking a daring seven-day Paint-A-Thon.

The record attempt, already drawing attention and admiration from across the region, showcases not just endurance but also exceptional creative talent.
Speaking during the visit, Claude-Wilcox who holds the distinction of being the first female Chairman of Bonny LGA described Lawson as a “professional artist with rare focus and courage.”
She urged her and her team to remain resilient and see the challenge through to the end.




“We are rooting for you. Bonny is proud, and I believe we will all celebrate a Guinness World Record title together”.
She promised continued logistical support and her presence throughout the duration of the event.
Dame Claude-Wilcox was accompanied by a strong delegation that included a former member of the House of Representatives; Randolph Brown, her Chief of Staff; Austin Onu-Pepple, and a former Supervisor for Environment, Solomon George-Pepple, among others.
The solidarity visit not only bolsters Lawson’s morale but further highlights the growing support for young creatives in Bonny aiming to place their community on the global map.
