Group Congratulates LG Chairman, Express Confidence in Her Performance

A socio-political group, Bonny Political Legends (BPL) has congratulated the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anengi Claude-Wilcox, on her resounding victory at the just concluded local government elections in the State.

The group also congratulated the Vice Chairman; Omoni Longjohn, Leader of the Bonny Legislative Assembly; Erefagha Allaputa, and all the Councillors in Bonny LGA on their emergence in the respective positions.

BPL sent these felicitations on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in a Congratulatory Message signed by its Leader; Amasenibo Joel Ibaningo, Chairman; Wari-Alabo Tuwonimi Iyariari, and Assistant Secretary; Austin Jumbo, and made available to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

“We, the Bonny Political Legends send our heartfelt congratulations to our amiable and distinguished Alabota Dame Hon. Anengi Barasua Claude-Wilcox, DSSRS, JP on your resounding victory at the just concluded election. We celebrate you and state unequivocally that you victory at the polls was not a surprise to us.

“We heartily identify with your victory and express our utmost gratitude to God Almighty that we are privileged to be part of that history you have created and the birthing of a new era of responsible, evidence-based and egalitarian governance that focuses on the wellbeing of the people of Bonny LGA.”  

“We also congratulate our dear brother, Wariopusenibo Omoni Longjohn on your election and inauguration as the next Vice Chairman of the LGA; our dear brother, Erefagha Allaputa on your emergence as the Leader of our Legislature, and all the elected Councillors. Congratulations!”

Also speaking in a telephone chat with Kristina Reports, Leader of the group, Amasenibo Joel Ibaningo expressed confidence in the capacity of the Bonny LGA Chairman to perform far better than her previous outing.

He pointed out that her “time of tutelage in governance and leadership has come and gone; we are confident that this is the time to unleash your fullest potentials in leadership and people management”.

He reiterated the continued support of the group to the administration under her watch, stressing that “we have been supporting her and we will continue supporting her. She has shown us that she has the interest of Bonny people at heart. So we will support and continue to support her”.

He noted the various projects executed by the previous administration under her watch such as roads, bridges, infrastructure, provision of school buses, furnishing of the magistrate and customary courts, construction of a health centre, among others.

According to the group, her performance in the previous political dispensation underscores the fact that she has the good of the people at heart, urging her to go further in this current dispensation, assuring her that it was solidly in support of her and her administration.
