Ibom Air Firms Up Business Offerings; Welcomes Another 220-300 Airbus, Wins “Best Airline of the Year” Award

In furtherance of its sustained consolidation of its business offerings, Ibom Air has added a new aircraft, Airbus 220-300 to its kitty bringing the number of aircrafts on its burgeoning fleet to seven.

This is as the airline also won for the third time the ‘Best Airline of the Year’ award at the African Travel Quarterly Travelers Awards 2024.

The award is in recognition of her performance as a domestic airline and pivotal role in shaping the aviation sector.

The award event, held on April 19, 2024, at the National Museum, Lagos, had in attendance Nigeria’s Minister of Tourism, Lola-Ade John, Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Charles Udo, and several other Tourism Commissioners from other states of the federation.

Ibom Air is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government, a sub-national in Nigeria. It aims to set the standard as an Airline of choice for passengers by focusing on schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service.

It has a fleet of six aircrafts: five Bombardier CRJ 900 and one Airbus A220-300, covering seven destinations.
