IGP Disu to Launch NPF Vigilant App, MTN CUG Network

As part of efforts to strengthen technology-driven policing, improve communication and enhance operational efficiency, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, is set to launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the launch will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre in the Federal Capital Territory.

He said the NPF Vigilant App is designed to improve engagement, information sharing and communication between the police and members of the public.

Iniedu pointed out that the MTN CUG Network would provide a dedicated communication platform to facilitate seamless and efficient communication among police personnel.

The police noted that the initiative underscored IGP Disu’s commitment to leveraging modern technology and strategic partnerships to strengthen internal coordination and improve service delivery.

The Force further stated that it remained committed to harnessing technology and innovation to enhance operational effectiveness and provide more responsive, efficient and people-centred security services to Nigerians.
