Ishileogono Community Disclaims Amadabo Title, Says It’s Unknown to Its Constitution

A former Community Head of Ishileogono Community, Amaopusenibo Boma Jumbo says the title: “Amadabo of Ishileogono” is unknown to the constitution of the community.

Amaopusenibo Jumbo said this on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in a rebuttal he sent to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

The rebuttal is in reaction to an interview granted by the incumbent Community Head of Ishileogono, Soimi Kaladappa, on Kristina Television’s flagship programme, Community Dialogue, wherein he identified himself as the Amadabo (Ibani for Community Head) of Ishileogono.

The statement is reproduced below:

“AS A FORMER COMMUNITY HEAD OF THE JUMBO ISHILEOGONO COMMUNITIES FOR MANY YEARS, MY ATTENTION HAS BEEN DRAWN TO A NOTICE ON THE JUMBO MAJOR HOUSE WHATSAPP PLATFORM OF A PLANNED INTERVIEW INITIATED BY MY SUCCESSOR – MR SOIMI KALADAPPA WITH KRISTINA REPORTS.

FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, THE TITLE OF AMADABO OF JUMBO ISHILEOGONO IS AN ABERRATION AS IT IS NOT IN THE CONSTITUTION OF THE JUMBO ISHILEOGONO COMMUNITIES.

THE APPROPRIATE TITLE IN OUR CONSTITUTION IS COMMUNITY HEAD AND NOT AMADABO.

THE JUMBO MAJOR HOUSE, KRISTINA REPORTS GROUP AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC SHOULD PLEASE TAKE NOTE.”

Ishileogono Community is one of over 25 communities comprising the Jumbo Major House of Bonny Kingdom in Rivers State.

Efforts by Kristina Reports to have the reaction of Soimi Kaladappa on the issue was yet unsuccessful as at the time of this report.
