The Local Organising Committee for the maiden All-Ogoni Secondary Schools Football Competition has concluded draws for the tournament sponsored by KAGOTE, the apex Ogoni sociocultural organisation.
A total of 55 secondary schools from the six Ogoni kingdoms were drawn into 16 groups during the event held in Bori on Monday, August 24, 2026.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, October 5, 2026, at the Alessa football pitch in Eleme LGA. The opening match will be between CSS B-Dere and CSS Kabanga.
According to LOC Chairman, Christian Kpenu, the competition is aimed at promoting unity, discovering young talent and encouraging sports development in Ogoniland.

A total of ₦39 million has been earmarked for prizes. The winning team will get ₦20 million, while the runners-up and third place teams will receive ₦10 million and ₦5 million respectively. Individual awards for MVP, highest goal scorer and best goalkeeper will each attract ₦1 million.
