Kizz Daniel Mourns as Mother-in-Law Dies of Breast Cancer
The family of Afrobeats superstar Kizz Daniel, also known as Vado D’ Great, is in mourning following the death of his mother-in-law after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
Kizz Daniel, a father of three, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share the devastating news, urging his fans, popularly known as Vaddicts, to join him in prayer.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her….. Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
This loss comes just months after the singer officially introduced his wife, Mjay Anidugbe, to the public for the first time.
On March 1, 2024, he posted a series of videos showcasing his wife dancing happily to his music.
Days later, during a playful interaction with fans, he confirmed his marital status.
“I’m married to an Igbo/Warri girl.”
” Nothing you won teach Mr wey I never hear,” he tweeted on March 6, 2024.
The couple, married for four years, welcomed a set of triplets—Jamal, Jalil, and Jelani—in May 2021.
However, they tragically lost one of the boys four days after birth.
Kizz Daniel has since been devoted to his remaining children, even purchasing properties for them and sharing proof of ownership online.
In March 2024, Mjay celebrated a personal milestone by securing an endorsement deal with Mikano Motors.
Kizz Daniel proudly congratulated her on Instagram, writing, “Congrats Wifey @mrsanidugbe on bagging your first endorsement deal @mikanomotors, 7 days on scene.”
” Proud of you.”
The artist’s fans and colleagues have been sending their condolences as the family navigates this difficult time.
