Kristina Reports Host Inner City Kids, Harps on Career Pursuit in Journalism
Kristina Reports, a virtual news medium based in Rivers State, says there are vast career prospects for young people in the media ecology, thus encouraging them to explore and leverage these opportunities for their future wellbeing.
The Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Kristina Reports, Godswill Jumbo said this on Thursday, September 5, 2024, during an excursion visit by children from the neighborhood where its Bonny Office is located.
Kristina Reports is located at Fred Williams Court, No. 3 Orudie Lane, Off Old Market Road, Bonny, Rivers State.
“As a journalist, you can work in a media house, with the government, security agencies, companies and institutions. You can be a public affairs manager, public relations officer, image maker, content writer, speech writer and several other roles.”
He admonished the visitors to grow their interest in Media practice, informing them that they can fit into several roles ranging from photographers to videographers, ICT managers, editors, and correspondents, amongst several others.
During the interactive session, some of the children asked questions on how media houses function, corporate governance structure, opportunities and staffing of media houses, which were responded to by Kristina Reports’ CEO, Brand Curator, Igey Rokalke, acting Head of Technical, Godstime Splendid, and others.
In the delegation were Enyinna Dominion of CAC Primary School, Prince Diri, Bishop Gabriel Pepple Pimary School, and Godgift Diri, Opubo Hart, and Tamunobelema Eli of Bonny National Grammar School (BNGS), all in Bonny, Rivers State.
They were earlier taken on a tour of the facility by Kristina Reports Tech Intern, Tuebi Owei, who showed them to the Studio, Reception area, IT Section, Conference Room, CEO’s office, and Reporters Lounge to the delight of the visitors.
