Moses Usor shines in Champions League win as Peter Olayinka powers Al-Wehda victory

Nigerian forward Moses Usor maintained his impressive early-season form on Tuesday evening, providing a vital assist as Austrian side LASK Linz stormed to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League at the Raiffeisen Arena.

The 24-year-old Super Eagles attacker initiated the dominant performance just 19 minutes into the encounter, setting up Kasper Jørgensen for a close-range header to open the scoring.

Jørgensen later doubled the lead in the 37th minute with a cleverly placed low free-kick past Popovic.

LASK continued to exploit Slovan Bratislava’s defensive frailties, adding a third before half-time through Robert Ljubicic following another set-piece sequence. Samuel Adeniran sealed the comfortable victory in the second half.

Usor put in an influential 75-minute shift before making way for Christoph Lang. The assist takes his overall tally for the season to 10 goal contributions (four goals and six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions), including two goals and three assists in the Austrian Bundesliga, one goal and two assists in the Champions League, and two goal contributions in the Austrian Cup.

Peter Olayinka Fires Al-Wehda to Crucial Saudi First Division Win

In Saudi Arabia, forgotten Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka continued his fine run of form, scoring the decisive goal to lead Al-Wehda to a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Al-Raed at the Al Raid Club Stadium.

Olayinka struck just 13 minutes into the match after connecting with a pass from Darwin González.

The 30-year-old striker has now recorded five goal contributions (three goals and two assists) in nine appearances this season, including three contributions in his last two games.

The victory extends Al-Wehda’s unbeaten run to 11 matches across all competitions, moving them up to 4th position on the Saudi First Division table with 18 points from 10 matches (four wins and six draws).
