Nigerian actress and television presenter Nancy Isime has announced plans to produce her first film as an executive producer, marking a new phase in her entertainment career after years of acting and presenting.
Isime made the announcement on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in a video shared on her official Instagram account, where she admitted feeling nervous about the responsibility but expressed confidence that the time had come to take the next step.

“This is my first production as an executive producer.”
” I can’t lie, I am nervous and wondering if I am ready, but I think it’s about time; I have also tried,” she said.
The actress explained that the decision would allow her to move beyond performing in other people’s stories and take on a production role through which she could tell a story of her own.
“I’ve spent years telling other people’s stories.”
“Now, I’m stepping behind the camera to tell one of my own,” Isime said.
She also invited her followers to accompany her through the filmmaking process, promising to offer a glimpse into the meetings, decisions, successes and unexpected challenges involved in bringing the project to life.
“My first film as an Executive Producer.”
“And I want you to come along for the entire journey – the meetings, the madness, the outfits, the decisions, the wins, the things that don’t quite go as planned… everything,” she added.
The announcement marks an expansion of Isime’s film career, although she already has experience creating and producing entertainment content through The Nancy Isime Show, which began in 2019 and is currently in its fifth season.
Her official website identifies her as the creator, executive producer and host of the programme, which airs on Africa Magic Showcase and is also available on YouTube.
Isime has built a career across television presenting and Nollywood productions, appearing in films and streaming projects including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Blood Sisters, Shanty Town, Everybody Loves Jenifa, Queen Lateefah and Hijack ’93.
Beyond her work on screen, she is the chief executive officer of Nip Studios, reflecting her existing involvement in the business and creative sides of the entertainment industry.
Her latest announcement, however, concerns her first film as an executive producer, rather than her first experience in entertainment production generally.
As an executive producer, Isime may become involved in major aspects of the film’s development and delivery, depending on the project’s production structure and the responsibilities assigned to her.
She has indicated that audiences will have an opportunity to follow aspects of the process, including the decisions and difficulties that accompany the production of a film.
However, details about the film’s title, storyline, director, cast, budget, filming schedule and expected release date had not been disclosed as of Thursday, October 8, 2026.
The announcement therefore introduces a new film project without yet providing the details needed to establish when production will begin or when audiences can expect to see the finished work.
Isime’s move adds another dimension to her career in an industry where performers can expand their influence by taking on creative and production responsibilities beyond acting.
Her expressed nervousness also offers a personal perspective on the transition, showing that the new responsibility comes with both excitement and uncertainty.
For now, the actress has promised to share more of the journey with her audience, while further information about the film is awaited.
Kristina Reports will continue to follow developments surrounding the project as additional verifiable details emerge.
