Nasboi Debuts with EP ‘In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T)’
Nigerian rising sensation Nasboi has officially released his debut EP, In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T), marking his full transition from comedy to music.
Known for blending humour with Afrobeats, Nasboi, whose real name is Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, is already making waves in the industry.
Born in Port Harcourt in 1992, Nasboi grew up influenced by musical icons like 2Face Idibia and Davido, which fueled his passion for music.
After studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Uyo, Nasboi made his first musical appearance with the 2023 single Lover Boy.
This release marked the beginning of his promising music career.
His debut EP, In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T), is a reflection of his creative versatility, blending love, humour, and life lessons.
Collaborating with top Nigerian artists such as Chike, 2Baba, Falz, and Joeboy, Nasboi brings a unique storytelling style to his music.
Standout tracks like Ajo and Could This Be Love showcase Nasboi’s exploration of love and devotion.
He sings about his attachment to his lover, using metaphors to compare the sweetness of love to delicacies like coconut and chocomilo while contrasting it with bitter herbs.
The song Could This Be Love, featuring Chike, delves into the vulnerability and overwhelming emotions that come with true love.
The EP balances fun and reflection, with tracks like Small Money, a celebration of life’s small victories, and Short Skirt, a playful nod to confident women.
On the reflective side, tracks like No Be So question the sincerity of a lover’s intentions, while Umbrella offers support in relationships.
Nasboi’s In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T) promises to take listeners on a journey filled with love, laughter, and moments of introspection, combining his signature humour with emotional depth.
