Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), a globally competitive energy company playing a critical role in harnessing Nigeria’s natural gas resources, has announced openings for qualified professionals to join its plant operations team.
The company is seeking suitably qualified candidates for the following positions based in Bonny Island, Rivers State:
Available Positions:
- Shift Operator (PO/2026/001)
Job Objectives: Carry out daily field operational activities in the assigned plant area safely and efficiently to ensure steady and sustained production aligned with daily targets. Serves as a safety-critical position holder and human barrier to ensure control barrier effectiveness.
Requirements:
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Chemical, Instrumentation and Control, Petroleum/Gas, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil, Structural, Environmental, Marine, Metallurgical, Materials, or Software Engineering obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level.- Minimum of 4 years of working experience in LNG operations.
- Skills in LNG process and auxiliary operating areas (Gas Transmission, NG treatment, NG Pre-cooling and Liquefaction, Liquid Handling unit, LNG utilities, Storage, and Loading).
- Operations Supervisor (PO/2026/002)
- Job Objectives: Lead and supervise all operational activities in the assigned operational area of the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance, monitoring and controlling operations, managing start-ups and shutdowns, and responding to emergencies.
- Requirements:
- HND in relevant engineering fields (as listed above) obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level.
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience in LNG operations, with at least 3 years in plant operations.
- Evidence of acquisition of the required 12 Assessment & Progression (A&P) Skill Blocks.
- Shift Principal Operator (PO/2026/003)
- Job Objectives: Carry out field operational activities safely and efficiently, monitoring plant conditions, executing operational tasks, supporting safe plant performance, and deputizing for the Area Supervisor when designated.
- Requirements:
- HND in relevant engineering fields (as listed above) obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level.
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience in LNG operations.
- Evidence of acquisition of 9 Assessment & Progression (A&P) Skill Blocks.
