In the Swiss Super League, 21-year-old forward Umeh Emmanuel put on an absolute masterclass to propel FC Zürich to a thrilling 3–2 victory over Lausanne-Sport at the Stade de la Tuilière.
With Zürich trailing 1–0 after an early Enzo Molebe strike, Emmanuel took charge right after the break.
He served up a precise assist for Bledian Krasniqi’s 47th-minute equalizer, setting off a wild second half.
Though Lausanne managed to bring the game to 2–2, Emmanuel had the final say.
In the 81st minute, the youngster displayed explosive pace to break away from the opposition defense and slot home the winning goal, marking his fourth goal contribution of the early campaign and securing all three points for the visitors.
Akpe Victory and Kazeem Olaigbe Star in Basel’s Thriller
Over at the Stadion Wankdorf, FC Basel pulled off a dramatic 3–3 comeback draw against Young Boys, fueled directly by two Nigerian dynamos.
Facing an early 2–0 deficit, Kazeem Olaigbe initiated the fightback in the 32nd minute.
Scoring in his third consecutive outing, the 23-year-old winger calmly reduced the deficit off an assist from countryman Akpe Victory, before being replaced late in the game by Super Eagles star Philip Otele.
However, it was the 20-year-old defender Akpe Victory who put in a true Man-of-the-Match performance.
Beyond setting up Olaigbe’s opener, Victory capped off his complete display by blasting home a stunning 71st-minute long-range equaliser—his maiden goal for FC Basel.
Just three minutes later, he proved just as decisive at the back, pulling off a breathtaking goal-line clearance to deny Young Boys a fourth goal.
Victory finished the match leading all players with 14 defensive contributions, including six clearances and five interceptions.
Olarenwaju Kayode Strikes in Turkey
Meanwhile, in the Turkish 1. Lig, veteran striker Olarenwaju Kayode continued his steady scoring run for Mardin 1969 Spor in a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Van Spor Kulübü.
The 33-year-old opened the scoring around the hour mark at the 21 Kasım Şehir Stadyumu, registering his second goal in four matches this season.
Kayode was a constant threat, registering the joint-most touches inside the opposition box (6) and generating four total shots.
