Ogun-based outfit Beyond Limits has, by instruction of the Nigeria Premier Football League body, forfeited their slot in the 2024/25 season, following shared ownership with Remo Stars, a club plying their trade in the league as well.
The NPFL body resolved that Beyond Limits will not be participating in the 2024/2025 season due to concerns regarding dual interest, which is a breach of Rule B11.4 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.

As a result of this development, Heartland FC who were relegated in the just concluded season, have replaced them. Heartland’s inclusion complies with the NPFL statutes in Rule A5.2.
The Naze Millionaires were the only club to show interest in the slot.
The League body also made clear that there was no slot buying involved, as it is prohibited under the NPFL rules, to allow for a fair and competitive league.
