The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has designated nine centres across Nigeria for the physical verification of credentials and travel documents belonging to foreign-trained Nigerian graduates ahead of the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.
In a public announcement shared via its official X handle on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the scheme disclosed that the mandatory physical verification exercise will run from Tuesday, September 8, to Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The exercise is strictly for prospective corps members whose credentials and travel documents have not yet undergone physical scrutiny.
To ensure orderliness and prevent overcrowding, the NYSC administration strongly urged all affected prospective corps members to report exclusively on the precise date, time, and venue generated on their individual verification slips.
The nine approved nationwide verification centres are:
Enugu: NYSC Secretariat, 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu.
Bauchi: Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi.
FCT: NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja.
Kano: Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano.
Lagos: NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyanapaja, Lagos.
Osun: NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osogbo.
Rivers: NYSC Secretariat, 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt.
Sokoto: Eagle Officers’ Mess, Giginya Cantonment, Gusau Road, Sokoto.
Adamawa: NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola.
According to guidelines issued by the NYSC, candidates must present the original copies of all academic credentials and international travel documents that were uploaded—or are expected to be uploaded—during their online registration.
Furthermore, foreign-trained medical graduates are under direct instructions to upload their professional licences, registration certificates, and all other relevant documents issued by their respective regulatory bodies, while also presenting the original physical copies at their chosen verification centres.
The management further directed all prospective corps members to submit the original copies of their Evaluation Letters, issued by the Federal Ministry of Education, at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, and ensure they upload the acknowledged copies onto the registration portal.
The NYSC strictly warned that only prospective corps members who appear physically with their complete credentials, and are successfully verified and cleared, will be deployed, exempted, or excluded from national service.
This physical screening remains a non-negotiable requirement for all eligible foreign-trained Nigerian graduates seeking to participate in the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.
