Rapper Odumodublvck is riding high as he kicks off his first Canadian tour, following a path of self-celebration set by Afrobeats star Davido. On September 22, 2024, Odumodublvck headlined his first concert of the tour, which sold out, solidifying his position as one of Africa’s biggest Hip Hop stars.

The rapper shared a clip from his performance on social media, captioning it, “If dem no hype, hype yourself,” celebrating the milestone and reaffirming his status as Nigeria’s foremost Hip Hop act.

Odumodublvck’s post echoes Davido’s recent message shared on his X account, where the superstar used the same quote.

Davido’s post came after his fans accused the Nigerian media of ignoring his achievement of receiving an RIAA Gold plaque for his hit song ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys.

Davido’s response was clear: he would celebrate his wins regardless of media attention.

Odumodublvck has much to celebrate lately.

He recently secured a nomination for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, further boosting his international recognition.

His 2023 album ‘Eziokwu’ also continues to make waves, having spent 50 weeks in the top 10 on the Spotify Nigeria Album Chart.

This achievement makes ‘Eziokwu’ the only album by a rapper to reach such a milestone.

With ‘Eziokwu’ now surpassing 50 weeks on Spotify Nigeria’s top 10, it joins an elite group of albums, including Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone’, Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’, Asake’s ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’, ‘Work of Art’, and Davido’s ‘Timeless’, all of which have achieved over 50 weeks on the chart.

Odumodublvck’s journey to success has been remarkable since breaking into the mainstream nearly two years ago, and as he continues his tour, the rapper shows no signs of slowing down in his rise to the top.
