Osimhen Joins Galatasaray Amidst Transfer Chaos, Fans Ecstatic

Super Eagles Player Victor Osimhen, flew to Istanbul deep into the night to seal what was a riveting transfer to Galatasaray.

Osimhen, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, secured a loan move to Galatasaray until June 2025, with €9/10m salary covered and no option or obligation to buy.

The 25-year-old Nigeria International who had found himself in a precarious position at the close of the European transfer window, after deals to move to Chelsea and even Saudi Arabia fell off and was banished by Napoli, found love, admiration and respect in Turkey.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year was welcomed at 3am by a flood of delighted fans, who had been waiting for his arrival.

Osimhen’s release clause will be €75m with Napoli’s option to extend until 2027.
