The current administration in Bonny Local Government Area will focus on how to improve lives, upgrade infrastructure and scale up the living standards of the people of the area, the Chairman, Abinye Pepple has said.

Pepple said this on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 during a meeting with all political appointees, including Chairmen and Members of various committees, held at the LG Secretariat Conference Hall, Bonny.

He said this public policy posture aligns with his administration’s commitment to reforming the Local Government for greater efficiency, transparency, and people-oriented governance.

A statement by his media and communications office said the meeting, which is the first of its kind, marks a significant step in the Council’s reform agenda aimed at strengthening the capacity of the appointees and improving service delivery.

“This is the Local Government reform we are talking about. Every office is important, and every appointee has a role to play in advising and supporting this administration to achieve our collective vision of growth, prosperity, and development.”

The Bonny LGA numero uno disclosed plans to organize capacity building and training programmes for all political appointees to deepen their understanding of Local Government administration and enhance their effectiveness in public service delivery.

The highlight of the meeting was a briefing by the Chairman on key projects, initiatives, and activities lined up to mark the administration’s first 100 days in office, as well as other long-term developmental plans for Bonny Local Government Area.
