Promise Land Innovation Limited, owners of the WEALTH App, has terminated its brand ambassadorship agreement with actress Tonto Dikeh with immediate effect.
The company announced the termination in a statement dated Tuesday, September 15, 2026, following a review of Dikeh’s performance under the agreement.
According to the statement, the review found that contractual obligations and promotional objectives under the ambassadorship had not been satisfactorily fulfilled.
The company also said a performance review meeting scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026, was intended to examine outstanding obligations and discuss the way forward.
However, Promise Land said the meeting could not take place because Dikeh did not attend as scheduled.
Following the development, the company said it exercised its contractual right to end the agreement immediately.
“Consequently, the Company has exercised its contractual right to bring the Brand Ambassadorship Agreement to an end with immediate effect,” the statement said.
Promise Land said Dikeh had been formally notified of the termination and wished her well in her future endeavours.
The company did not publicly provide a detailed breakdown of the specific contractual obligations it said had not been fulfilled.
The termination brings an end to an endorsement partnership that began only months after Dikeh was unveiled as the WEALTH App’s brand ambassador in May 2026.
Dikeh was unveiled at an event in Abuja in May, where the WEALTH App was presented as a digital platform focused on real estate investment and portfolio management.
Reports from the unveiling placed the value of the endorsement at ₦500 million, although that figure was associated with reports surrounding the original announcement rather than the September termination statement.
At the unveiling, the company described the appointment as part of its strategy to increase awareness and reach for the investment platform.
The company has now clarified that ending Dikeh’s ambassadorial role does not affect its operations or its commitment to the WEALTH App.
Promise Land said it remained committed to providing solutions for real estate investment management through the platform.
It also thanked its subscribers, customers, partners and the general public for their continued interest, support and confidence in the WEALTH App.
As of the announcement, no substantive public response from Dikeh explaining her position on the termination had been included in the company’s statement.
The development therefore remains based on Promise Land’s stated assessment of the ambassadorship and its decision to exercise the termination provision in the agreement.
