Renaissance Africa Energy Company (RAEC) has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of Bonny Kingdom in Rivers State, Nigeria.
RAEC’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Amaopusenibo Tony Attah stated this on Saturday, December 20, 2025 when he led the company’s senior leadership team to join His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, JP, DSSRS, Edward 1, Perekule XI, Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom, the Se-Alapu Council, and the good people of Bonny to witness the Iria Ceremony of the Queen of Bonny Kingdom, Her Royal Highness, Queen Paula Tamunoipirinye William Dappa Pepple, at Ikuba Square, Bonny.

Bonny is the host community of RAEC’s flagship facility and West Africa’s largest crude oil terminal, the Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal (BOGT).
Attah, who was conferred with the prestigious title of Amaopusenibo by the Amanyanabo during his stint as Managing Director of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) in recognition of his commitment to the development of Bonny Kingdom, expressed hearty felicitation with the royal family on the auspicious occasion.
The Queen’s Iria Ceremony coincides with the 29th coronation anniversary of the Bonny Monarch and the 19th birthday anniversary of the Crown Prince, William Dappa Pepple.

Renaissance Africa Energy Company benefitted from the divestment of Shell Nigeria’s assets in most of Nigeria and has since identified with Bonny Kingdom and her King in its development vision.
Renaissance is currently providing support to the upcoming Bonny Kingdom Boat Regatta which holds along the Admiralty Creek at Coal Beach, Bonny on Friday, December 26, 2025, just as it also supported the recently concluded Amanyanabo Football Tournament.
Recall that RAEC’s MD/CEO, Amaopusenibo Tony Attah was instrumental to the NLNG’s decision to build and gift to Bonny Kingdom the Bonny Consulate Building which now houses the Bonny Consulate Cinema and Bonny FM.
