The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo has hailed the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara for his commitment to the development and progress of the State.

Oko-Jumbo gave this accolade on Tuesday, January 29, 2025 at Government House, Port Harcourt, when led a high-powered delegation comprising the Deputy Speaker; Adolphus Oruibienimigha, Majority Leader of the House; Sokari Goodboy, and the Clerk, Dr G.M. Gillis-Wills, as well had other principal officers and staffers to visit the Governor.

A statement by the Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker, Stephen Banigo, disclosed that the Rivers State House of Assembly delegation led by the Speaker were at Government House, Port Harcourt to celebrate with Governor Fubara on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.

Oko-Jumbo noted that the leadership acumen demonstrated by the Governor has brought about significant change in the State, which he pointed out has immensely benefitted the legislative arm of government.

The Assembly delegation alongside other well-wishers collectively celebrated Governor Fubara on the occasion of his golden jubilee anniversary with songs, gifts and goodwill messages.

In his appreciation message, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to the Oko-Jumbo led Assembly for their kind gesture, committing to continually synergise with the 10th Assembly towards delivering on his administration’s promises to the people of Rivers State.

The Governor reaffirmed his confidence in the leadership of the 10th Assembly, urging the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo and other members of the Assembly to keep up the good work for the ultimate interest of the people.
