The Rivers State Police Command again showed its bullish aggression against crime as it successfully neutralized a notorious cultist and kidnapper, Gbarani Bume, also known as “Pelele,” in a significant operation aimed at curbing crime in the State.

Pelele, a native of Bere Community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, was a key member of the Iceland Cult Group, notorious for terrorizing the Bere/Tabaa axis of the region.

According to a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Grace Iringe-Koko, operatives from the Bori Division acted on intelligence and intercepted Pelele and his gang in Luawii Community during an attempted kidnap of a site engineer.
