Rivers State University Appoints Idanyingi Daminabo as Acting Registrar

Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has appointed Idanyingi Daminabo as its new acting Registrar, with effect from Monday, December 15, 2025.
The appointment was announced in a press release issued on Monday, December 15, 2025 by the University’s acting Director of Corporate Affairs, Victor Banigo.

Daminabo replaces Ibimonia Harry, who has completed her tenure as Registrar of the University.
Before her new role, Daminabo was the Director of the Establishment Division and the most senior Director in the Administrative Cadre of the University.

She joined Rivers State University in 1994 as an Administrative Officer I through a transfer of service from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, where she began her career in 1988 as an Administrative Officer II. She rose through the ranks and was appointed Director in 2017.
Academically, Daminabo holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degrees in Sociology, as well as a Doctorate degree in Human Resource Management.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration and the Institute of Policy Management and Leadership Development, and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators.
The University expressed confidence in her experience and leadership as she assumes office as acting Registrar.
