Sound Representation, Networking, My Offerings When Elected – BGF Secretary Contender

Across of the spectrum of his life has been a track record of services from his school days to adult life, connecting with people has been the in-thing.  

Is it any wonder then why Kenneth Abinye Dan-Jumbo is promising versatile networking and sound representation when elected into office as the secretary of the Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF)?

In 2002, Dan-Jumbo was Secretary General, Young Farmers Club at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Borikiri, Port Harcourt; in 2003, he became the President; in 2005, he was Director of Welfare, National Union of Rivers State Student (NURSS), University of Benin Chapter; then 2006, he became Director of Socials in NURSS, University of Benin Chapter.

In 2006, Kenneth became the Secretary General of the National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS), University of Benin Chapter; and later member of Parliament representing Basic Medical Sciences, as well as Chairman, Committee on HIV/AIDS and Human Trafficking in the Student Union Government (SUG), University of Benin inn 2007.

In 2007, the BGF Secretary hopeful was acting President of the National Union of Bonny Student (NUBS), University of Benin Chapter; Assistant Director of Socials, National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS) Worldwide; student member, State Agency for the Control of AIDS (SACA), Benin, Edo State; and student member, Physiology Society of Nigeria (PSN).

He was to later become the acting Secretary General, Dan-Jumbo Youths Association in 2017; Assistant Secretary, Institute of Safety Professional of Nigeria (ISPON), Bonny Chapter; and Director of Socials, Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF).  

In a telephone chat with Kristina Reports, Kenneth Abinye Dan-Jumbo, who graduated with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.11 to gain a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Benin, Benin, Edo State in 2008, listed his service offerings.

These include a functional secretariat with proper data collation, documentation and management; chair editorial board of BGF, effective registration and managing register of registered members; prompt Issuance of notice of meetings, documentation and production of meeting minutes within 48-hour timeline.

He also included developing an effective and efficient system of verifying the educational qualifications of all intending members, amongst other responsibilities.

He pledged that “I will be available and reachable to take messages and give back for effective communication,” adding that “I have worked with brilliant leaders and have tapped from their wealth of knowledge; hence it’s time to serve again”.
