Big Brother Naija Season 11, tagged Show Ya Sef, entered a fresh phase on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as Sultex and Goddessa were evicted during the fifth live eviction show.
The double eviction reduced the number of housemates still competing for the ₦160 million grand prize to 17, with the exits coming after five weeks of intense competition, nominations, confrontations and rule breaches.
Sultex became the sixth housemate to leave the competition after polling 4.77 per cent of the votes, while Goddessa followed with 5.02 per cent.
Bells, who was also facing possible eviction, survived after recording 5.22 per cent of the votes, allowing her to continue her journey in the house.
Sultex’s eviction came as a surprise to the housemates, particularly after he had played a prominent role in the events of the week and emerged as one of the housemates whose actions and relationships had attracted considerable attention.
Speaking immediately after his eviction, Sultex expressed shock at leaving the competition but said he was ready to explore opportunities outside the house.
Goddessa’s eviction also generated an emotional moment as she became the seventh housemate to leave the how Ya Sef house.
The singer and songwriter, whose real name is Lovette Okechukwu, reflected on her relationship with Araga after her eviction and acknowledged that she had cared about him.
“I did care about him, but I think he’s a very demanding young man,” Goddessa said, adding that there were many expectations and that he sometimes appeared to forget that he was still playing a game.
She said she wanted him to have his own journey while she pursued hers outside the house, where she plans to continue creating and showcasing her music.
The eviction was, however, only one of the major developments from the fifth live show, as Big Brother introduced a new twist that could significantly alter the fortunes of two housemates designated as Gambits.
The new twist, tagged “Operation Release The Gambit,” gives viewers the opportunity to decide whether one or both Gambits, Flora and Aikou, should be released from the restriction attached to their status.
The Gambits had been given a special position in the competition, but their status initially prevented them from competing for the ultimate prize.
Under the new arrangement, viewers are being given the power to determine whether either Gambit or both can become eligible to compete for the grand prize.
The development adds another layer of uncertainty to the competition because the two housemates could move from having guaranteed protection associated with their Gambit position to having a genuine opportunity to compete for the ₦160 million prize.
The fifth live show also saw the return of the table-shaking moments that have become a major feature of the season, with the host questioning housemates about relationships, comments and tensions that had developed inside the house.
Earlier on Saturday, August 29, a disagreement involving Bells, Yusuf and Sultex had escalated after what began as a conversation about clothing prices.
The argument developed into a heated face-off after Yusuf became involved, adding to tensions already building among the housemates ahead of the eviction show.
The confrontation became one of the most talked-about incidents of Day 34, coming only a day before Sultex’s eventual eviction.
Disciplinary issues also dominated the fifth week, with Big Brother sanctioning housemates over repeated breaches of the rules.
The sanctions followed several incidents involving house property, microphones, disobedience, lateness and threatening remarks.
Some housemates were punished for damaging or attempting to damage property, while others were sanctioned for pouring water on their microphones.
The repeated violations resulted in restrictions and warnings, including the loss of access to the pool party for some of the affected housemates.
One of the more serious disciplinary actions involved Sultex, who was placed on behaviour probation with a final warning over repeated threatening remarks towards fellow housemates.

The week also saw Chimsom Chuka retain the Head of House position, while Sheba became the fourth Most Influential Player of the Week and received immunity from eviction.
With Sultex and Goddessa now out of the competition, 17 housemates remain in contention as the race for the ₦160 million prize enters another stage.
The introduction of “Operation Release The Gambit” means the coming days will not only determine who survives the next eviction but could also establish whether Flora, Aikou or both will gain the right to compete for the ultimate prize.
