Victor Osimhen scores brace, assist in Galatasaray big win as Iheanacho continues sensational scoring run

Victor Osimhen is simply operating on another wavelength right now, and if you turned away for even a second, you missed another masterclass.

After dragging his side through a chaotic opening weekend, the Nigerian hitman put on an absolute clinic on Friday evening, bagging a goal and an assist to drive Galatasaray to a dominant 3-0 victory over Erzurumspor FK at the Kazım Karabekir Stadyumu.

Victor Osimhen Goal and Assist Powers Galatasaray

The defending champions set the tone early, needing just 12 minutes to break the deadlock.

When Erzurumspor failed to clear a corner kick cleanly, Roland Sallai reacted instantly, smashing a sweet first-time strike straight into the back of the net.

Eight minutes later, the Super Eagles forward took center stage. After the Lions forced a turnover from a throw-in, Yunus Akgün picked up the loose ball and fed Osimhen on the charge.

Showing elite vision, the talismanic striker returned a pinpoint pass back into the box for Akgün to finish off a brilliant team sequence.

Just as the hosts thought they might crawl into the break down by two, Osimhen pounced on their fatal mistake.

Intercepting a sloppy back-pass intended for the goalkeeper, the star frontman calmly slotted into an empty net on the stroke of halftime to cap off a flawless opening 45 minutes.

While initial match updates hinted at a late second strike in the 80th minute, Osimhen’s first-half goal and assist were more than enough to completely shatter Erzurumspor’s game plan and secure all three points for the Yellow-Reds.

With three goals and an assist already logged across his first two league appearances, Osimhen is proving once again why he remains the ultimate game-changer in Turkish football.

Iheanacho Hot Streak: Nigerian Star Hits Form for Bursaspor

Kelechi Iheanacho has done it once again, finding the back of the net for Bursaspor, but his latest effort wasn’t enough to prevent a setback for his side.

The Super Eagles forward is enjoying a stellar start in the Turkish second division, registering four goal contributions (three goals and one assist) across his first three matches.

After marking his official debut with a goal and an assist, Iheanacho struck again in his second appearance to help the Green Crocodiles edge Igdir FK 1-0 at the Matlı Stadyumu.

He kept his streak alive in his third outing, but the Green and Whites ultimately suffered a 2-1 defeat—their first loss of the campaign.

Fatih Karagümrük claimed a 2-1 victory over Bursaspor on home turf. Aleksandar Pešić fired the hosts ahead just eight minutes in, before Daniele Verde doubled the advantage right on the stroke of halftime.

With four minutes remaining in regulation time, Lincoln slipped a sweet pass to find Iheanacho in a pocket of space inside the 18-yard box.

The Nigerian star finished with a delicate lob to narrow the deficit to 2-1, but the home side held firm to claim all three points.
