“This is a warning to all criminals — Rivers State is not a place to hide. We will track you down, day or night, and bring you to justice.”

She was giving perspective to an operation by operatives of the Command who stormed the hideout of an armed robbery and kidnap gang at about 11.30am on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Nkpee Street, Bori in Khana Local Government Area of the State, seizing guns, drugs and charms.

Panic on the streets of Bori turned to relief as the crack police operatives swooped on suspected members of a ruthless armed robbery and kidnapping gang in a lightning-fast operation that left residents stunned.

A patrol team from Bori Division of the NPF stormed the area, arresting on the spot four men suspected to have been plotting their next strike, namely; Solomon Chris, aged 26, Fabulous John, 26, Wisdom Kalongo, 30, and Wisdom Samuel, 33.

A locally-made revolver pistol ready for action, one live bullet, a stash of hard drugs suspected to be Canadian Loud, fetish criminal charms believed to be for “spiritual protection”, and an ash-coloured Toyota Sienna (BNY-758FS) allegedly used for kidnapping victims.

Iringe-Koko asserted that the streets of Bori as well as other towns in the State are no longer safe for criminals, hinting that the gang may be responsible for the string of robberies and abductions in the area, adding that more arrests are on the horizon.

She informed that the suspects would remain in custody while investigators close in on other fleeing members of the gang and hunt for more of their deadly weapons.

The Command assured of its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and implores the public to report the slightest unscrupulous activities for timely intervention.
