Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 After Cardiac Arrest in Florida

Wrestling legend and global icon Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71, marking the end of an era in professional wrestling and entertainment.
The wrestling world and millions of fans across the globe are mourning the loss of legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan (born Terry Gene Bollea, b. August 11, 1953), died on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 71.

According to confirmed reports from TMZ and WWE, Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
Emergency services responded around 9:51 a.m. local time and rushed him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
He was surrounded by family members at the time of his passing.
His longtime manager, Chris Volo, confirmed the tragic news, calling it “a heartbreaking moment for the Hogan family and the wrestling community at large.”
Hulk Hogan was a towering figure in professional wrestling, rising to fame in the 1980s and 1990s as the face of WWE (then WWF).

With his trademark bandana, handlebar mustache, and iconic catchphrase, “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?” he became a pop culture phenomenon and inspired generations of fans and athletes.
Hogan was a six-time WWE Champion and a major force behind the sport’s golden era. His matches against legends like André the Giant, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and The Ultimate Warrior drew massive global audiences and helped transform wrestling into mainstream entertainment.
Beyond the ring, he ventured into acting, reality TV, and business. His appearances in movies such as Rocky III and TV shows like Hogan Knows Best expanded his reach beyond the squared circle.

Tributes have since flooded in from across the wrestling and entertainment world.
WWE issued an official statement calling him “one of the most recognized and beloved figures in sports entertainment history.”
Fans have also taken to social media to honor his memory, sharing photos, iconic promos, and memories of a man many called their childhood hero.
Despite past controversies and personal challenges, Hogan’s contributions to the world of wrestling remain monumental.
His legacy will live on through the millions who chanted his name, wore his merchandise, and followed his every move, in and out of the ring.
He is survived by his children Brooke and Nick Hogan. Funeral arrangements and official memorials are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
