Bolu Balogun, popularly known as Tife, the first son of global Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has officially made his entry into the music scene with his debut Extended Play (EP) titled Champion’s Arrival.

The project, released on Monday, November 11, 2025, marks the young talent’s bold introduction to the industry, one that his father helped redefine globally.

Tife, who is just 13 years old, had hinted earlier in the year about pursuing a music career, sparking curiosity among fans of his father.

His EP Champion’s Arrival consists of five tracks that blend Afrobeats, trap, and youthful energy, showing a refreshing fusion of his influences.

The EP includes songs like “Dream Big,” “No Limits,” “Golden Son,” “Legacy,” and “Champion’s Arrival (Intro).”

Each track mirrors his confidence and ambition to build his own name beyond being Wizkid’s child.

Speaking during a short release interview on his social media, Tife said,

“Music has always been around me, but this is me finding my voice.”

“I’m not trying to be my dad, I’m trying to be me.”

The project was reportedly co-produced by rising producers and sound engineers affiliated with Starboy Entertainment, though Wizkid himself did not appear on the tracklist, a deliberate choice, according to sources close to the family, to allow Tife to grow his identity as an artist.

Fans reacted with excitement and surprise after the EP dropped on major streaming platforms, with many praising his confidence and vocal delivery.

“You can tell talent runs in the bloodline.”

“The boy has rhythm and clarity,” one fan commented on X (formerly Twitter).

“Tife Balogun came correct! For a 13-year-old, this is impressive,” another added.

Music critics have described Champion’s Arrival as “a strong first step,” noting that Tife’s lyrics reflect maturity beyond his age, with themes of purpose, growth, and resilience.

Cultural commentator Tosin Ajibade (Olorisupergal) wrote,

“It’s beautiful to see the next generation of Afrobeats already making moves.”

“Tife’s debut feels like a calm reminder that the legacy continues.”

Tife, who lives with his mother, Shola Ogudu, in Lagos, has built a modest online following over the years, occasionally sharing glimpses of his artistic side, from freestyling at home to studio sessions with upcoming producers.

While neither Wizkid nor Shola has made an official statement, insiders suggest the Starboy boss is “proud but intentionally silent,” allowing his son to earn recognition independently.

With Champion’s Arrival, Tife joins the growing list of celebrity children venturing into the arts early, a trend that highlights how Afrobeats has become more than a genre; it’s now a generational legacy.

As fans stream his new project, one thing stands out, Tife Balogun isn’t just following in his father’s footsteps; he’s charting his own path, one beat at a time.
