Businessman, George Banigo Hails Holiveah Paint-A-Thon, Says Bonny Island, Best Destination for Arts, Tourism

Entrepreneur and public affairs analyst, George Banigo has applauded the ingenuity and ambitious grit of Guinness World Records hopeful, Olivia Lawson, saying her quest for a new world record in the longest painting marathon has again highlighted Bonny Island as destination of choice for Arts and Tourism.

Banigo said this in a chat with Kristina Reports on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 when he visited the Bonny Consulate, venue of the Holiveah Paint-A-Thon in Bonny, Rivers State. He was accompanied by the Vice President of the Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF), Christian Tobin, amongst others.

“I must commend the ambitious aspiration of our girl, Olivia Lawson and her Holiveah Artistry for this quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon, especially, attempting to do so from Bonny Island here.”

“Bonny Island remains the go-to place for Arts and Tourism, Nigeria’s best export commodity to the world. The whole world is watching this happen right here on the Island. What more is there to say?”

He called on relevant stakeholders in the world of Arts, Entertainment and Tourism to check out her Art works and support her ambition, stressing that “Bonny Island has a pool of talents in Arts and other creative genres waiting to be tapped”.

He thanked the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Pepple, CON, for always supporting young talents to flourish.

He also commended the Bonny Chiefs Council and both indigenes and residents of Bonny Kingdom and beyond for the robust support given to Mrs. Lawson, so far.
