Controversial Social Media Figure Verydarkman Refuses to Speak at Panel Hearing Over Bobrisky Absence
In a dramatic turn of events, Verydarkman (VDM) made a bold statement during a panel hearing on September 30, 2024, where he adamantly refused to testify in the absence of Bobrisky, a prominent transwoman socialite.
The hearing, organized to investigate allegations involving EFCC officers and the Nigerian Correctional Services, centered on claims that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million to avoid imprisonment in a VIP section of Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre, Lagos.
“I don’t know why I will be here and the person who made these allegations is not here,” VDM expressed his frustration, captured in a viral video of the hearing.
“If Bobrisky is not here, for now, I will not say anything, if I say anything, let me die,” he added defiantly, amidst murmurs of confusion from the audience.
The controversy stemmed from an audio tape released by VDM on September 24, 2024, where Bobrisky alleged that unnamed EFCC officers extorted money from him to drop money laundering charges.
Bobrisky further claimed that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and his son played roles in ensuring the charges were dismissed, thereby keeping him out of prison.
The panel’s attempt to elicit information from VDM faltered as he stood firm in his resolve not to speak further without Bobrisky’s presence, citing disrespect to the committee.
This standoff has raised eyebrows and intensified public interest in the unfolding legal and ethical implications surrounding the allegations.
As the investigation progresses, stakeholders await further developments in this intriguing saga that has gripped social media and legal circles alike.
