Alayi Igboji-Akuru Community and their neighbour, Item Community, both in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, have raised alarm over the state of the Alayi-Item Road in the area.
Checks by Kristina Reports reveal that the major road had broken into half over the weekend due to erosion caused by the heavy rains.

This has raised great concerns among motorists, cyclists and the general public give the critical importance of the road which connects several communities on that axis.
Some of the concerned motorists also pointed out the huge role the road plays in the economic and commercial lives of both towns.
Commuters and residents of the area have therefore called on the Abia State Government to come to their rescue by giving the road the attention it needs.

Kristina Reports learnt that the erosion, which swept half of the road away, has affected farms, and houses that are close to the road; luckily, no life was affected by the natural disaster.
Sources hinted Kristina Reports that the incident came up sadly after the erosion at the neighbouring Ovoom Community in Obi-Ngwa LGA of the State, which claimed several lives and properties
