The leadership of Finima Community has distanced itself from recent comments made by Elder Inima Brown regarding a planned peaceful protest in Bonny Kingdom.

This disclaimer was contained in a press release on Monday, January 13, 2024 signed by Chairman of the Tobin Konibo-ye-Awanta House Elders Council, Wariopusenibo Darlington Tobin, an dmade available to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

The Finima Community leadership clarified that Elder Brown does not represent Finima, stating that his comments were “made out of malice, falsehood, and cheap blackmail.”

The statement emphasized that Finima, as an integral part of Bonny Kingdom, fully supports the peaceful protest aimed at addressing genuine concerns for the overall benefit of the kingdom.

The release highlighted that the kingdom is managed by “well-knowledgeable persons” who have the best interests of all constituents, including Finima, at heart.

“There is no smoke without fire,” the release stated, reaffirming confidence in the intentions and capabilities of the protest organizers.

The leadership urged Elder Inima Brown to collaborate with the kingdom’s leadership to foster progress rather than engaging in “sabotage and cheap blackmail.”

In a stern warning, the community noted that Elder Brown and his associates would be held accountable for any disruptions to law and order during the protest.

Law enforcement agencies were called upon to monitor the situation closely and act appropriately.
