The talented students, Tejiri, 12 years, Salome Akhabhau, 11 years, Excel Barile-Nwika, 11 years, and Goodness Nwonanne-Chima, 12 years, developed an innovative android application called AgriConnect, designed to address hunger issues in Nigeria.

Their impressive work secured their place among the top contenders in the global competition, which featured 3,200 android applications developed by about 11,000 girls from 69 countries, including the USA, UK, Japan, China, Canada, and Spain.

Identifying themselves as the Smart Elite, the girls competed in the beginners’ division, which includes participants aged eight to twelve.

Their success story is a testament to their creativity, dedication, and the supportive environment at Jacob’s Well High School International.

The World Technovation Girls Challenge, set to take place from October 15 to 19, 2024, will bring together young female android application developers from around the world.

This summit not only showcases technological innovations but also empowers young women to pursue careers in technology and entrepreneurship.

As they prepare to head to Silicon Valley, Tejiri, Salome, Excel, and Goodness embody the potential and promise of Nigeria’s future in the tech industry.

Their journey serves as an inspiration to other young girls in Nigeria and around the world to explore and develop their skills in technology.
