The Amanyanabo of Abuloma Kingdom in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Majesty, King Dr. Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) Ateke Fiboinumama, FSS, DSS, TM, CDM, MSS, Psc, Fdc, Msc, JP, Obeomomuodo Abuloma, has commended the Bonny Youth Entrepreneurs (BYE) for creating a viable platform for youths to engage in business.

The BYE is the youth arm of the Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BonnyChamber).

The Abuloma Traditional Ruler gave this commendation on Saturday, May 31, 2025 when the Executive of the Bonny Youth Entrepreneurs (BYE) paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Abuloma, Rivers State.

The monarch encouraged young people to be enterprising and mainstream self-reliance in their endeavours, pledging his support for youth entrepreneurs, adding that under his leadership, Abuloma Kingdom will continue to create a conducive environment for youth entrepreneurs to thrive.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Bonny Youth Entrepreneurs, Walter Longjohn had informed the Amanyanabo that they were in his palace to formally inform him of the forthcoming Light Up Bonny Island event, which is part of activities lined up for the 1st Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo (BITE).  

He stressed that the BYE was a concept of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) to drive inclusivity for young people in business, stressing that so far, several youth entrepreneurs have joined the train.

The Light Up Bonny Island event is billed to hold from Monday to Thursday, June 9 to 12, 2025 in Bonny Island, Rivers State.
